Our EcoTots program is a fun introduction to animals, plants, and other nature topics. Programs use movement, storytelling, art, animal demonstrations, and games to make nature come alive. This is a great outing for young children and their accompanying adult to explore in nature together.
EcoTots is for children ages 18 months to 4 years with accompanying adult.
Programs are from 9:30-11 am every Friday. Programs held rain or shine.
Payment is required at the time of reservation.

Our EcoKids program encourage observation, exploration, problem solving and creativity (STEM activities). At ABNC, our goal is to give children the opportunity to observe nature in action.

The tour will be approximately 2-3 miles round trip
Each kayak will hold 1 person
Participants should be able to lift 30 lbs and paddle for 3 hours
Participants are required to wear life jackets, which will be provided
The weight limit for our kayaks is 375 pounds
The max capacity for our kayak tours is 7 people
Participants must be 16 or older and an adult must accompany children under 18

Bring more than enough water for yourself! There is no water available on site

ABNC is now offering private Night Hikes for your family or social group. Come enjoy the sights and sounds of the prairie, forest, and bayou at night! Some nocturnal creatures you may see or hear are owls, bats, fireflies, raccoons, spiders, armadillos, deer, frogs, and more!
To allow for social distancing, the maximum capacity of the hike is 7 people
Our guides will maintain a social distance of 6 feet between themselves and your group
To protect our guests and volunteers, masks will be required during the hike
We recommend that you bring water, insect repellent, and hand sanitizer
If you have red lights, feel free to bring them with you
We recommend that you wear long pants for the hike

ABNC Pontoon Cruises give you unique opportunities to see bayou wildlife up close! The “Bayou Ranger II” will take you on an adventure through the heart of the nature center along the Armand and Horsepen Bayous where wildlife gathers to find food, water, and shelter.
