EcoTots

Our EcoTots program is a fun introduction to animals, plants, and other nature topics. Programs use movement, storytelling, art, animal demonstrations, and games to make nature come alive. This is a great outing for young children and their accompanying adult to explore in nature together.

EcoTots is for children ages 18 months to 4 years with accompanying adult.

Programs are from 9:30-11 am every Friday. Programs held rain or shine.

Payment is required at the time of reservation.
Fees: Members with Family Membership or above $10/program; Non Members $12/program
(Fee includes 1 adult and 1 child)

EcoKids

Our EcoKids program encourage observation, exploration, problem solving and creativity (STEM activities). At ABNC, our goal is to give children the opportunity to observe nature in action.

This drop-off program is for children 3 to 6 years old who are fully potty trained.

Join our EcoKids program either Wednesday or Friday from 9:30-11:30; Topics are the same on Wednesdays and Fridays of the same week. Programs held rain or shine.

Please bring a Snack, Refillable Water Bottle and dress for the weather.

Payment is required at the time of reservation.
Fees: Members with Family Membership or above $12/program; Non Members $14/program

EcoSchoolers

The EcoSchooler program is hands-on environmental education activities plus STEM challenges for the home school student. Our science activities will help create curiosity and passion for the natural world.

This drop-off program is for children ages 7-12

Join our EcoSchoolers program either Wednesday or Friday from 9:30-11:30; Topics are the same on Wednesdays and Fridays of the same week. Programs held rain or shine.

Come explore Armand Bayou with us!

Join us for a guided tour of Armand Bayou to explore the wetlands, see our local wildlife, relax, and have fun. You'll have a chance to see numerous birds, reptiles, and deer who are starting their day at the water's edge.

Beginner and experienced kayakers are welcome.

Our knowledgeable guides are ACA certified and will give a brief orientation on kayaking before the trip.

Price: $50 per person

Know before you go

• Masks will be required at all times when on land

• The tour will be approximately 2-3 miles round trip

• Each kayak will hold 1 person

• Participants should be able to lift 30 lbs and paddle for 3 hours

• Participants are required to wear life jackets, which will be provided

• The weight limit for our kayaks is 375 pounds

• The max capacity for our kayak tours is 7 people

• Participants must be 16 or older and an adult must accompany children under 18

• Reservations must be made in advance and payment is required at the time of reservation

• All participants are required to sign a waiver before the tour

• Bring more than enough water for yourself! There is no water available on site

• Please bring a hat, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, your signed waiver, and wear clothes and shoes that can get wet

Family Night Hikes

ABNC is now offering private Night Hikes for your family or social group. Come enjoy the sights and sounds of the prairie, forest, and bayou at night! Some nocturnal creatures you may see or hear are owls, bats, fireflies, raccoons, spiders, armadillos, deer, frogs, and more!

• Price: $15 per person with a 4 person or $60 minimum

Know before you go

• To allow for social distancing, the maximum capacity of the hike is 7 people

• Our guides will maintain a social distance of 6 feet between themselves and your group

• To protect our guests and volunteers, masks will be required during the hike

• We recommend that you bring water, insect repellent, and hand sanitizer

• If you have red lights, feel free to bring them with you

• We recommend that you wear long pants for the hike

• Please wear closed-toe shoes

• These hikes are for ages 6 and up

• The hike will be approximately 1.5 to 2 hours

Pontoon Cruises

ABNC Pontoon Cruises give you unique opportunities to see bayou wildlife up close! The “Bayou Ranger II” will take you on an adventure through the heart of the nature center along the Armand and Horsepen Bayous where wildlife gathers to find food, water, and shelter.

Located about 20 miles Southeast of the heart of downtown Houston via Highway 288, the city of Pearland is home to some of the area's best family-friendly activity centers , spacious parks , stellar shopping, and locally owned restaurants. 1. Take a stroll around the area's premier open-air mall, Pearland Town Center . Pearland Town Center offers a plethora of brand-name shops to choose from and is home to several special events throughout the year. On the second Saturday of each month, enjoy exploring the Pearland Farmer's Market featuring locally made baked goods, local produce, hand-crafted jewelry and more.

Professional Skating Instructions for all ages and all skill levels welcome.

We emphasize all proper basics and fundamentals for the beginner skater. We also instruct the higher level of skills for the more advanced skater, including: forward movements, backwards skating, jumps and spins.

NOW AVAILABLE-6 Week Learn to Skate Class Pass

Includes Saturday Learn to Skate Class, and the Saturday afternoon Public Session. The Learn to Skate Class Pass is only $60!! The value of this pass is $108, which provides you with a $48 savings! The public session is a perfect opportunity for the skater to practice their class skills, later that afternoon while the info is still fresh in their minds.

In keeping with the health and safety guidelines, please read carefully the following changes:

1) Please sanitize hands before entering the rink.

2) Mask are required to be worn for all entering the rink.

3) Our current occupancy is set for 150

4. Class time schedule is:
Check in: 9:45-10:10am
Warm up: 10:00-10:15am
Instructions:10:15-11:00am

5) We will have the Instructors keeping a distance and no hand contact with the Students. For the Bronze Level, if a skater needs assistance standing up, a family member in shoes is allowed on the floor to help them.

6) If an individual is not feeling well, please stay at home.

7) Those that are already enrolled, do not need to call and re-enroll.
